Corporate Social Responsibility

We believe that business should be conducted with the ultimate goal of preserving and improving the well-being of society.

To this end, our commitment to waste management plays an important role in protecting the environment—and our business decisions are made with the interest of the people at heart. This mindset extends to our R&D, which is single-mindedly focused on improving the cost-efficiency of our technologies so that, by being able to do more with less, we can reach more businesses with our solutions.

At the same time, we are committed to developing our business in the interest of our shareholders who make it possible for us to do what we do, in which our active contributions to society are the acknowledgement of our corporate social responsibility.

Giving Back to Society

Whenever the time calls, our company is ready to do its part for society to make it a better place. Here are our stories.

1

Kim Kim River Disaster Cleanup

In 2019, the Jabatan Pengairan & Saliran contacted 5E Resources to advise and resolve an air and water pollution incident as a result of illegal toxic chemical waste dumping at the Kim Kim River in Pasir Gudang.

The cleanup involved pre-excavation operations, air, water, and soil monitoring, as well as oil, chemical and activated carbon booms.

Building Awareness in Schools

Recognizing the importance of starting young, the company organizes awareness in schools to teach students the importance of scheduled waste management works and how they can participate. This is an important first step in improving the effectiveness and efficiency of waste recycling, reclamation, and disposal.

Helping Avert a Pandemic During COVID-19

As the COVID-19 took its toll, the company did what it could by donating air quality monitoring devices and hygiene products while also providing professional sanitizing services during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This was a natural response, as our teams already have extensive experience with using these devices to monitor air quality as well as observing clean practices during the course of our activities.
